Shane was born on March 13 1974 in Dover, England, UK and was educated at the Astor School in Dover and spent two years at South Kent College, Ashford, taking a theatre studies and communications course. He then attended the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art in London and received the Cameron Mackintosh Scholarship Award.
He has appeared in episodes of TV series such as Where the Heart Is and Comedy Lab. In 2001, he landed the role of Eugene “Doc” Roe in the HBO epic Band of Brothers produced by Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg. He voices the character “Goh” in the 2006 video game Shinobido: Way of the Ninja. In 2009 he appeared in the BBC adaptation of John Wyndham’s The Day of the Triffids. Shane is currently in production of the 2009 film Bomber which is due for release in October and Devil’s Playground.
He is married to Ashley McKinney, and they have two children.
